Nine Cedarville University Worship Students Will Serve at the 2017 GMA Dove Awards
The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus for fall 2017.
University of Alabama undergraduate student Alexander Naff is now contracted with UA's Air Force ROTC detachment. NAff and 19 other UA students were sworn into UA AFROTC on Thursday, Sept. 21 at "Bama Salute," a UA Athletics-sponsored event that honors active duty military members and veterans at various UA sporting events throughout the year. The UA cadets were sworn in at a UA soccer game in front of nearly 700 people, an unusual but celebrated venue and audience, as contracting ceremonies are typically low-key, with family and other cadets and ROTC cadre present.
Beavercreek resident, Tyler Seymour, a senior finance major at Ashland University, completed an internship with Prasco Laboratories in Mason, Ohio. This internship was under the supervision of the organization's associate director of finance and accounting, April Smith-Becker.
More than 100 Knox College student-athletes were named to the Midwest Conference's Academic All-Conference list for the 2016-17 academic year and athletic season. The criteria to become an Academic All-Conference selection includes a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.33, which is calculated only in the awarded academic year. First-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who letter in any of the MWC's fall, winter or spring sports are eligible for the award. Several of the honorees were recognized for the academic achievements while playing more than one sport.
Committed to academic excellence, Wittenberg University regularly recognizes students who maintain high educational standards. These students maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the 2017 Spring semester and earned a place on the Dean's List.
Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2016-17 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.
Students at the University of Findlay recently participated in the 2017 Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition. Any UF student was eligible to enter artwork for consideration. Categories included painting, drawing and mixed media, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, design, digital photography, film photography and visual communication.

Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2017 Semester
Capping off a day-long Celebration of the Liberal Arts at Wittenberg University, the campus community came together to celebrate the achievements of students and faculty members alike at the annual Honors Convocation, Friday, April 7, in Weaver Chapel. The faculty commemorated the occasion in full academic regalia as the university recognized high achievement of students and faculty members in academic and co-curricular activities.
The University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble recently performed "Those Roaring Twenties." The annual winter pops concert was directed by Jack Taylor, University director of bands and music professor.
